Health is Wealth - Tips for keeping healthy and fit


Health is considered the greatest wealth. It is better to be poor healthy than rich sick. The sick person cannot consume the money and amenities. He feels his life as a burden. Healthy person lives his life with fun. His mind is full of joy and exultation. He does every task with enthusiasm. So that health is wealth. You should take advantage of God-given gifts and staying healthy.

Good health is the real jewel of the life. If a man loses his health, the world loses all its charms for him. A healthy person does not spend money on medicines and visiting doctors. Health is Wealth.

The simplest definition of health is that it is the freedom of sickness and diseases. According to World Health Organization (WHO) health is physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease.

Good health is the real jewel of the life. If a man loses his health, the world loses all its charms for him. A healthy person does not spend money on medicines and visiting doctors. A good wealth of health can be obtained in a number of ways. It needs regular exercise, good diet and good thoughts also. A good health reduces the stress level and promotes healthy life without any sufferings. We should always be aware of our health and go for regular health check-up.

We have to perform multiple tasks throughout the day in order to earn more money however we forget that good health is as necessary for our healthy life as air and water for the body. We have to work for at least 9 - 10 hours in the offices by just sitting on the chair without any physical movement.

It is true for all that Health is Wealth. So, We should eat balanced food having fresh, green leafy vegetables, egg, milk etc. in timely manner in order to maintain the good health. We should get up early in the morning, go out for a walk and breathe in fresh air to keep our lungs clean and in good order. Balancing sleep and rest are also necessary for good health.

1. Don't skip breakfast

Studies show that breakfast skippers tend to gain weight. The National Institutes of Medicine notes that eating breakfast is important for regulating your appetite.

2. Drink Water/Fluids

Adults need to drink at least 1.5 liters water a day or more. Plain tap water is a good source of liquid. Alternative choices are juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee, milk etc.

3. Eat variety of foods

We need more than 40 different nutrients for good health and no single food can supply them all. So eat a wide variety of foods. Try to eat at least five servings a day.

4. Stop smoking

Don't smoke and if you smoke already ! do everything in your power to quit. Quitting smoking is the single most important step a smoker can take to improve the length and quality of his or her life.

5. Laughter is the best medicine

It lowers anxiety, boosts the immune system and aids circulation. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection fighting antibodies.
